August 31st 1832 Reports made to the Stockton and Darlington Railway Commettee by John Graham

The Trade has bean greatly impeaded in the Shipping of Coals this week own to the Hevey Rains we have had; and still more so by Thomas Scorer Laying Ships to the Staiths that had no Coals down; and other Ships wating for a Birth that had Coals down to Load them at the same time.
{Thomas Scorer to give a reason for laying vessels to the berths which have no coals ready & in future to suffer no vessel to lay to, unless the coals are down
