Last Week, on Saturday morning I went up Hagger Leazes Branch and found the Siding at the Lands Stoped with the Stone waggons Loding Blocks and 4 of Mr Deans Loading waggons
I gave strict orders that it was to be Stoped no more as there is Room enough for bothe parties without occupying the Siding

January 2nd 1835 Reports made to the Stockton & Darlington Railway Commettee by John Graham

Gentlemen
on Tusday last the Coach Train an Houre and a Halph in Comming from Stockton to Darlington the ♯ Engine Could get no Steam on account of the Small Pipes in the Tube being nearly all Stoped up with sut and dirt, I ordered the Engine to be taking up to Shildon to be examned and it was Clearly proved that it was own to the Inattention of the Engineman & Fireman, Thos Dickeson
