April 13th 1832 Reports made to the Stockton and Darlington Railway Commettee by John Graham

April 5th Robert Lawson for not stoping his Loading waggons untill No6 Engine got into the Siding at Yarm Branch but came down and Broke 2 waggons the Engine man thinks he was A Sleep Damage about 3£

April 9th One of Norwood Leaders lowsed A Set of waggons in one of the sidings in Haggers Leas Branch so as to Obstruct the Siding; and David Peares one of George Dixons men came down and the Switches was wrong and thrown Dixons Waggons into the Siding where Norwoods waggons was standing and broke the Norwood Waggons pay damages

The Black Boy waggons are in A bad state for want of Cupling Chains being fastned on I went over to Mr Hall and told him about it he said that he understood that the Railway Company was to keep them all in Repair; I told him that the Company never intended to do so and that the Railway Company had bean at A Great expence by getting A great number of Chains so as to fit every waggon up with A Chain and that it was fully expected that the Coal Oweners would fasten them on and keep them fast; and he was verey angree with me and said they had bean fast and they would not fasten them again; so that I must have the Advice of the Committee as the By Laws dos not tuch upon it
