April 16th Manual Hunting for delivering A Waggon of Coals upon the Railway with his Cart Standing upon the Main Line so as to Obstruct the Line afront of the Railway Office Door Stockton {before magistrate}

April 18th William 4th Engine got her Chimley Broke off at Coddling Bridge by A Roap that Simpson the Builder had Stretched across the Railway too Low for the Engines to pass; Mr Hackworth will give the Damage { damaged wanted £3-12-0 }

As we have had several accidents and seareous damages done by the Engines Racing to pass each other To prevent this as much as possable it would be advisable to give an order for the Slow Engines or Engines Defective to Stand at the first Siding or way connected with the main Line after being overtaking by one of the Swift Engines and put his waggons and Engine thereon so as to allow the Swift Engines to pass without Racing.

April 10th 4 Sheaves and 2 Stands was broke on Brusselton west Bank by a Cupling Chain Hanging down Damage 33/s I have Sean the Bank Rider about it and he says that there was no Crook on the front of the waggon to hang it up with
