Engine to throw her off the way and got upon the Engine and Collared the Engine man; as Ogal and Hodgson have been Reported so often I hope they will be Stoped for traveling any more. {To be summoned before the magistrate who it is hoped will severely parties [punish] the parties, the complaints have been so frequent against them Edw Pease}

March 3, 1832
I went down to Mr Fowlers Plantation and examened it where it had bean set on Fire, the Fire had bean occationed by the sinders flying out of the Chimley of No 7 Engine; There was non of the way men upon the Spot at the time there was 3 about three Hundred yards to the East of it and Came Directly they saw the Fire to put it out
John Bell and A nother Parson the Name of Brown was at the West end of the Plantation when the same Engine passed and set fire to the West end of the Plantation where they were standing and him and the men Immeadetly got it put out; I enquired of Bell the Reason why he had not Reported
