passing any of the Plantations on the Line; and for the Firemen to ride on the last waggon of the Train whilst Passing Mr Fowlers Plantation so that he may ascertain whether any of the Grass are set Fire to or not by what Flies from the Engine_________________________
As the most of those places are set Fire to at Nights I am led to beleave it is don by Running at Great Speads_____________
I would therefore advise the Company to order John Sidgwick to watch them at Nights during the Summer season and for Joseph Anderson to pay some attention to those things as excessive speed is cheafly the Cause

I have received Tenders for the Repairing of 34 Waggon Belonging to the Company now Standing at Aycliffe Lane which was ordered by the Company to be Repaired for Sale; Tenders as Follows
