her to get, and to be confined to take 16 Empty waggons back with the Coach or 10d per waggon to be deducted off for every waggon Short of 16
2nd An Engine when sent to Darlington for Empty waggons to be paid 10d per waggon
3d An Engine when taking to Hall the Coaches and goods between Stockton and Darlington to be paid 7d per Mile exclusive of Engine mens wages which the Company now pays
Mr Hackworth agreed to each of the Prices except the 7d per Mile this being only put upon the Same Scale as the Engines in the Coal Trade and the Risk being considerably more on account of the Speed being increased, he wished to be allowed a Fraction more

J G begs leave to call the attention of the Commettee to 2 of the Coach Engines that wants Repairs, Viz the Globe & Shildon
1st the Globe Engine Tube is getting very bad and the Crank axle is Cracked
J Graham would recomend the Company to get A new Tube and a set of wheels and axles so that the Globe Engine might be Repaird with as little delay as possable
2nd The Shildon Engine Tube is bad she seldom runs more than 3 or 4 Days together and when she is Halling the Coaches between Stockton and Darlington the Passengers are very much annoyed with the Smoke and dirt that Flyes from the Chimney on account of her burning Coals
The Company has a Copper Tube and a Set of Brass Pipes
