July 18th 1834 Reports made to the Stockton & Darlington Railway Commettee By John Graham
Gentlemen
Agreeable to your Orders of last week I have paid particular attention to the Oiling of waggons Halled by the Coach Engine between Shildon & Darlington, they have been considerably better this week untill yesterday at one O Clock the waggons when Loosed from the Engine Stud Still in Darlington Run for want of Oil, I have put another man upon the Engine this morning
John Greathead one of the Companys apprentices who Fires the Middlesbro Coach Engine has

has neglected his work very much Lately on wednesday Last when the Coach was to Start there was no Steam and about 30 Passengers upon the Coaches
I would Recomend the Company to Break his indenters and be done with him
The trade has been very good all this week and we have been well supplied with Engine Power, But very Badly off for water
