this being an evel that is Daily creeping on, which to avoid J Graham would recomend the Enginemen that now Lives at Darlington being Removed to Shildon and would Further Recomend an order being giving that no waggons shall be Left Standing on any part of the Line for the Porpose of the Engines going into the works to get repairs

On Wedensday [struck through] Tusday Last 7 Loading Waggons belonging to Deanry Colliery went a main down the Black Boy North Bank, and did considerable Damage to the Railway’s Sheeves; The waggons are very much Broke some of them a total wreck, The above accident occured on account of one

of the waggons having been Sent from the Colliery with only one Bolt in the Centre Bar, the Other Sheth giving way, the weight was then throwing upon the Side Chains the drawing Straps also gave way
{ GOING TO DRINK }

The Collieries on the Boy Plain has latly frequently been Stoped by George Hunter who has the Empty waggons to Hall in going off to Drink during work Hours without giving any notice to any one on Wedensday Last he Left his work for the above purpose about 4 Hours during that time 3 of the Collieries got out of waggons and had plenty at the Branch End
