Octr 14th 1836
John Graham having been requested to look at the Engine on the Black Boy Plain as to the Probability of it being made to do more work
J G would recomend an additional Drum being placed as per sketch to work with Spur Gear as Showing on the Plan by doing this the Engine would be capable of doing nearly double the work she is at present. The Drum Spur Wheels, Shaft &c which was got for Mr Peases New Engine will answer the Porpose

Agreable to the orders of Last week JG has been over at Newcastle and examned the Omnibuses that is for Sale, Foure of them are nearly the same as those Tendered for by Harrison & Smith but are very much out of Repair. J G dare not consider them worth more than 22 £ each to the Company, 30 £ is the Price they are offered at

J G has also seen Hawthornes Crane which he considers a very good thing and would wish to Recomend one to the Company
