John Graham Reports to the Commettee

On Saturday Last the Coach had got too much Speed in Comming down Brusselton East Bank and the Rails having been in a Greasey state after the Rain the Guard could not bring her up with the Brake She came in contact with a Laden Waggon at the foot of the Plain and Broke the End of the Coach

On Monday Last the Adelaid and Deanery Collieries were Stoped for Want of Waggons on account of the men at the Black Boy Engine not commencing to work the Plain according to order

On Tuesday Last 12 Empty Waggons went a main down Brusselton West Bank and Broke Several Waggons belonging to Old Etherly & Butterknowle Collieries

On Saturday Evening Last 8 Waggons of Splent Coal was left at Darlington William Gates Engineman was ordered to take them to Croft on Monday this he refused to do; when he arrived at Croft J Langstaff told him to go back for them as the Carts was wating for the Splent Coal he still refused to do so the Carts were obliged to come to Darlington for Splent after
