June 7th 1838
John Graham Reports to the Commettee

On Monday Last Several of the Collieries was Laid off and put to great Inconvenience on account of the Traffic having been Stoped at the Chain Bridge

During the present week three Waggons has been broke at Middlesbro Back Drop

Agreable to the orders of Last Week J G has agreed with Scott to take Ralph Hopes Situation for the Sum of 30/- per Week

Agreable to the wish of a member or two of the Commettee J G has been all through the Clarance Railway and was pleased to find that the Fastning on the Chains and Pins has had the desired Effect as he discovered non of the Companys Property upon the Line
J Graham was also at Hartlepool but Saw nothing there worthy of Notice except the Drops which is Simple and Good
