Octr 12th 1838
John Graham Reports to the Commettee

Agreable to the Orders of Last week J G has Inspected Neasham & Welshes Locomotive Engine, And finds the Dimentions Sent to be Correct; But She is not an Engine he Could Recomend the Company to buy on account of the weight upon 4 Wheels and the Height She is mounted would be very Injurious to the Railway

J G further Reports that the differance of Cost of Coals Taking to Yarm

By the Light Engines instead of the others were the Corve Improved so as to inable them to Travel Ammounts to About 15£ Annum this only being one Halph of an Engines Work makes a differance of 30£ for Wages; and the Repairs being in the Same Ratio is equal to 60£ per Annum upon each Engine adapted for the Yarm Trade
